Online application s are invited from students having the requisite qualifications Postgraduate Programmes of Cotton University. SEATS UNDER THE NOMENCLATURE
COTTON GRADUATE: 50% of the total seats in each programme of study shall be reserved the candidates graduating from Cotton University (with the relaxation of one year gap) under any recognised University.
OPEN CATEGORY: The rest 50% of total seats shall be open for all eligible candidates from of any recognised University (including Cotton University subject to conditions) under this Category.
MODE 0F ADMISSION:
A) UNDER COTTON GRADUATE CATEGORY
- CGPA based: In those subjects which are being taught as major/core course in Cotton University, the admission shall be given on the basis of CGPA(Core) in BA/BSc degree subject to minimum of CGPA in Core 5.5 for UR, 5.3 for OBC/MOBC and 5.0 for SC/ST(P)/ST(H).
- Entrance based (CPGEE 2019): In those subjects which are not being taught as Major/ Core course in Cotton University, the admission shall be given on the basis of score in CPGEE 2019.
- The reservation policy of Govt. of Assam for OBC/MOBC/ST(P)/ST(H)/SC/PWD shall be applicable in this category.
B) UNDER OPEN CATEGORY
- (i) Admission in all subjects shall be given solely on the basis of CPGEE 2019.
- (ii) The reservation policy of Govt. of Assam for OBC/MOBC/ST(P)/ST(H)/SC/PWD shall be applicable in this category.
COTI'ON POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CPGEE 2019):
CGPEE2019 shall be held during 19 22 July 2019 and the detailed examination programme shell be notified by the Controller of Examinations, CU.
The examinations shall be of Objective Multiple Choice type questions and OMR answer sheets shall be used.
Questions shall be based on the Cotton University UG syllabuses of the concerned subjects except for subjects not being taught as Major/core courses in this University. For those subjects not being taught as Major/core courses in Cotton University the entrance examinations shall be based on corresponding standard syllabuses of UGC/reputed Universities of India.
COTI'ON POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CPGEE 2019):

CPGEE 2019 BASED ADMISSION IN CERTAIN SUBJECTS UNDER COTTON GRADUATE CATEGORY
The candidates under the COTTON GRADUATE CATEGORY seeking admission to the following PG programmes shall be selected solely on the basis of CPGEE 2019 scores, and NOT on CGPA of the qualifying UG degree:
