It is for general information to the candidates who appeared in the 1st counseling held from 28th June to 5th July/2019 and were provisionally selected for admission into 1st year MBBS/BDScourses in the Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam session 2019 that the provisional Select list of Candidates issued is hereby cancelled along with the corresponding allotment letters issued to the candidates. It is notified that in order to ensure compliance with Constitution (one hundred and thirdAmendment) Act, 2019 as per guidance of Government of India regarding provision for 10% reservation to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), a fresh counseling forselection of all eligible candidates for admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses willbe held from 9th to 11th August 2019 from 10 AM onwards at Office of the Director ofMedical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22, as per the schedulem below. All eligible candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (U.G.)-2019 (NEET-UG 2019) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into MBBS/BDS courses in the Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the session 2019 under 85% State quota seats are to appear physically before the Selection Board for their provisionals subject to fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria as per the MBBS/BDS Admission Rules, 2017 (as amended).
The eligible candidates must bring
- Duly filled up Application Form of Schedule-I of Admission Rule (in original) along with all relevant annexure certificates attached with Application Form,
- Admit Card,
- Score Card of NEET (UG)-2019,
- Marks sheets of 10+2 (Sc.) examination,
- AdmitCard of HSLC or equivalent examination,
- Pass Certificate of HSLC or equivalent,
- Pass certificateof HSSLC or equivalent,
- PRC,
- Caste & other reserved category certificates, and
- other relevantdocuments in original for verification during counseling process.
- A set of photo copies of all thesaid documents duly signed by the candidate himself/herself are to be submitted along with the Application Form at the time of counseling.
- Application Form with all Annexure shall beavailable in the official website http://dme.assam.gov.in.
- Incomplete application Forms shallbe summarily rejected.
Candidates are requested to follow the instructions laid down in the MBBS/BDS AdmissionRules 2017 and its subsequent Amendments as well as the instructions in the body of the Annexed Certificates with Application Form before filling up of the Application Form.
All eligiblecandidates must appear personally for counseling on the scheduled dates and time.The candidates who have already submitted their duly filled up Application Form ofSchedule-I along with necessary enclosures at the time of 1st counseling held from28th June to 5th July 2019 (now cancelled), need not bring and submit the same in thiscounseling, however they have to be present physically along with their all originaltestimonials.All the seats under 15% All India quota which are reverted back are also included inthis counseling and are distributed as per norms.It is to be noted that if any candidate furnishes false information/ declaration/ or anyfalse/ unauthentic/ fabricated certificate in the counseling process, his/her admissionis liable to be cancelled at any time and criminal proceedings shall be started againstsuch candidates under appropriate legal provisions.The schedule for counseling is detailed below:

- Person with disability (Dibyang) (PwD) quota: -All candidates who have applied under this category as per Rule and who have qualifiedNEET (UG), 2019.
- Position Holders in HSSLC (Science) Examination, 2019 from AHSEC, Assam (1st &2nd) provided they have qualified in the NEET-UG-2019 for admission into MBBS/ BDScourse.
- All candidates with rank from 1 to 500 of Assam State of merit list of NEET (UG)-2019.Candidates claiming for EWS quota seats are directed to bring the Annexure-XI completely filled up and duly signed by the concerned Circle Officer at the time of counseling.After filling-up of all Un-reserved Merit seats, the remaining candidates belonging to SC, ST(P), ST(H), OBC/MOBC (Non-Creamy layer) and EWS reservedcategories upto the rank 500 will be accommodated in their respective categoriesin order of merit. However, the candidates belonging to Moran, Motak and TGL/Ex. TGL Category shall have to appear on the specific date as mentioned in theNotice. After this the remaining vacant seats in SC, ST(P), ST(H), OBC/MOBC (Non-Creamy layer) and EWS category shall be filled-up from the candidates ofrespective category as listed below

- Following Candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC (Non Creamy layer only) category.Rank from 501 to 1567 of Assam State merit list of NEET (UG)-2019.
- MORAN COMMUNITY (Non Creamy layer of OBC/MOBC only) :- All candidates of Moran Community quota who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET(UG)2019.
- MOTAK COMMUNITY (Non Creamy layer of OBC/MOBC only) :- All candidates of Motak Community quota who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET(UG)2019.
- TGL/Ex-TGL CATEGORY (Non Creamy layer of OBC/MOBC only) :Rank from 501 to 6372 of Assam State merit list of NEET (UG)- 2019.
- MARTYRS QUOTA :- All candidates of Martyrs quota who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET (UG)- 2019.
- FREEDOM FIGHTERS QUOTA :-Rank from 501 to 1161 of Assam State merit list of NEET (UG) - 2019.
- EXTREMIST VIOLENCE QUOTA:-All candidates of Ext. Violence quota who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET (UG)-2019.(L)SPORTS QUOTA:-State Rank 4022, 2310, 3832 and any eligible candidate who did not appear in the 1stcounseling (now cancelled) held on 5th July, 2019.
- EX-SERVICEMEN & SERVING DEFENCE PERSONNEL QUOTA :- State Rank 412, 506, 1010, 1188 and any eligible candidate who did not appear in the 1st counseling (now cancelled) held on 5th July, 2019.
Date of Counseling: - 11th August, 2019.
- Following candidates belonging to ST(P) category Rank from 501 to 2939 of Assam State merit list of NEET (UG)-2019.
- Following candidates belonging to ST(H) category Rank from 501 to 5237 of Assam State merit list of NEET (UG)-2019.
- CHAR AREA QUOTA :-Rank from 501 to 600 of Assam State merit list of NEET (UG)- 2019 and any candidatewho appeared in the first counseling (now cancelled) claiming this quota.
- ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION (EWS) QUOTA:-Candidates upto the rank of from 501 to 700 of Assam State Merit List of NEET(UG)2019, having EWS certificate from the appropriate authority in prescribed format.
Note: Candidates claiming EWS quota seats are directed to bring certificate from concernedCircle Office or Circle Officer (Attached) 'completely filled up and duly signed, at the time of counseling.
