RESERVATIONS
The Reservation Rules of Govt of Assam will apply against all the posts. There will be no Reservation against PwD(Persons with Disability) in the concerned vacancies as the same were already recruited recently in a central recruitment drive.
AGE LIMIT
Not below 18 (Eighteen) years and above 38 (Thirty Eight) years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is however relaxable by 5 (five) Years in case of SC/ST and by 3 (Three) years in case of OBC as per Govt Rules.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
A candidate must be Permanent resident of Assam. For proof of Permanent Residence, the voter ID card of the candidate or either of his/her parents must be submitted. The candidate must have command over the local language.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The candidates are to apply online in the link which would be available in the departmental web site https://irrigation.assam.gov.in from 10:00 hours of 20th December 2019.
Deadline of Application Submission is 23:59 hours of 08st January 2020.
DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED
- For age proof, HSLC Certificate/Admit Card issued by recognized Board/Council.
- The Voter ID Card of the Candidate or either of his/her Parents as proof of Permanent residence.
- Certificate of qualifying examination as per applicable case.
- Recent Passport Size Photograph.
- Scanned Copy of Signature of the Candidate.
- Caste Certificate from competent authority if applying for such category.
ADMIT CARD FOR OMR BASED EXAMINATION
After Scrutiny of applications, the Admit cards will be generated online for the candidates found eligible and they will be intimated through SMS/Mail to download their Admit cards. The candidates whose application are rejected for any reason may see the reasons for rejection in the same link.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
OMR based written examination will be held for all category of posts at specified locations to be decided in due course of time. Wherever applicable, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency test/Skill test the date and venue of which will be notified later on. Selection of candidates shall be on the basis of OMR based written test and Computer proficiency test (as applicable). There will not be any Viva-Voce in the selection process against any of the posts.
OTHER CONDITIONS
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen as defined in Article 5-8 of the constitution of India.
- Those candidates who are already in service should apply through proper channel.
- The selected candidate will have to submit an undertaking to the appointing authority that they will abide by the new Pension Rules of the Government issued Vide Finance Department’s letter No.BW-3/03/pt-II/1 Dated 25.01.2005
- Canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify a candidate.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the OMR based written test/Skill test.
Selection criteria for Junior Assistant (HoD Level and District Level)
The Candidates will be selected on the basis of combined tests i.e. written examination and Computer Test with details breakup of marks as follows.

- On the basis of marks obtained in Written Test and Computer Test (MS office or equivalent), the final panel will be prepared for appointment in order of merit.
