Applications are invited for the position of two (2) numbers Project Assistants (PA) to carry out research in Weather and Climate Science under Prof. B.N. Goswami Funded by the SERB Distinguished Fellowship. The Position is purely temporary, til the end of the Project in April 2023 approximutety two years. The research Under the project envisions ways and means to extend the limit of predictability of the indian monsoon. It hopes to quantify the multi-decadal variability of the Indian monsoon and unravel mechanism that are Disentangling the roles of oregraphy microphysics and dynamics in the variability and predictability of the participation over NE India is also of interest.

Salary: Consolidated salary will be at the level of a Junior Research Fellow and will follow SERB norm, which is similar to that of the CSIR.
Essential qualification: Include a Masters in physics or in any branches of climate science (e.g. atmospheric or oceanic sciences), sound knowledge of physics mathematics and weather and climate sciences. Computational and analytical knowledge required for analysis of large volumes of geophysical data are desirable Experience in rescarch as evidenced by a quality publication will be considered as added qualification.
