Applications are invited from indian citizens for filing up of the followng posts of Assistant Engneer (Civil) and Junior Engneer (Civil) in Water Resources Department Govt of Assam.
Post: Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Water Resources Department
Number of posts: 63 (Sixty three)
Scale of Pays: Rs 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700 PM Plus other allowances as pet nules of the Govt.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01 2021.The upper age limit is retaxable
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 4 years as per Govt Notification No. ABP 06/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
- For Persons with Disabilty (PWD) by 10 years respective of SC/STIOBC and General Category of candidate as per Govt. Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October 2016.
Note: The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Malriculation /HSLC Admit Card! HSLC Pass Cettiicale issued by 2 recognized Board/Council and no othar document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents,
Qualification:
- B.E or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering obtamed from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Goverment.
- The Bachelor Degree in Cil Engineenng must be a Reguiar Full Time Course Bachelor Degree in civil Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
- Apart from Engiish the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least one offical language of the State of Assam (ie Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council
Essential Criteria: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. For proof of permanent residence. the candidate or his/her parents must be voter of Assam, The voler ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents).
Post: Junior Engineer (Civil) under Water Resources Department
Number of posts: 37 (Thirty Seven)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 14,0007 to Rs 60,500/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs 8,700/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt
Age: The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2021.The upper age limit is relaxable :
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 49 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as pet Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
- For Persons with Disabaity (PWD) by 10 years respective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidate as per Govt Notficalin No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October. 2015.
Note: The age limit of tha candidates willbe calculated on the basis of the Malriculation /HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Pass Cattiicale esued by a recognized Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.

- Apart from English the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) offical language of the Stale of Assam ( I e. Assamese/Bengal/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council

Applicants are required to apply online through Water Resources Departments Govt website i.e. www waterresources.assam.gov.in/. No other means/mode of Application wil be accepted and the Applications received through other means will be summarily rejected.

Screening shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit as per academic performance.
Methodology of recruitment: Due to the current pandemic situation a contactless process of selection purely based on academic performance from HSLC to Degree for the post of Assistant Engineer (civil) and HSLC to Diploma for the post af junior Engineer (Civil) will be followed

EWS candidates must poduce Income & Assets certilicate of the family issued by the Officer not below the rank of Circle Officer.
Note:
- The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for recruitment to the post. If on verification at any time before or after the screening procedure it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions then their candidature for the post will be cancelled by the appointing authority.
- The Candidates must submit a Declaration In the form-A appended along with the application form while applying for the post In response to the advertisement made.
- For PWD Category Candidate: Since there Is no post reserved for PWD candidates they wil have to compete with other candidates without any PWD reservation.
- For categories for which there Is no reservation: Such candidates will have to compote with other candidates in open category.
