Educational Qualification:
B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/Institution. Candidates with higher qualification in relevant field and experience will also be considered.
Work Experience:
- Essential: Minimum five years experience after graduation. Should have worked in an industry/public sector/government establishments in design and development activities of electronics, instrumentation, control systems, electromechanical systems, etc.
- Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates worked with electromechanical system design, analysis, and implementation. Exposure to tools such as Solidworks, Labview, Matlab, etc., is desirable. A broad multi-disciplinary engineering background is also desirable.
Job description:
The selected candidate will be a member of India-TMT Primary Mirror Control System (M1CS) Group, and will participate in the activities of the group that include production of India’s share of TMT M1CS. The candidate will be actively involved in different activities related to the Electromechanical and Opto-mechanical systems being manufactured by Indian Industries for the TMT Project.
Responsibilities include lead and supervise the M1CS team, develop and maintain the working standards based on best practices, implement new methodology for production, respond quickly to control problems, trace product quality, conformity and provide appropriate action. Support, as required, the design, development, delivery, and integration and testing of various subsystems. Candidate should be self-motivated and capable to perform and deliver with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to clearly develop and present technical and programmatic information in meetings, reviews, and conferences.
Candidate may need to work closely with the ITCC/TMTPO team members and Indian industries involved in the production of M1CS components and their testing. A positive performance in this role will lead to increased responsibilities and an opportunity to grow within the project. Job may require frequent travels within the city and outstation.
