Candidates having Ph.D. Degree inaccordance with the UGC (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D.Degree) regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
Age of candidates should not be more than38 years with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/PWD as on01.01.2019.
Candidates must have minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent gradepoint scale) at the Master Degree level in the relevant subject. A relaxation of 5%marks may be provided to the Ph.D. holders, who have obtained their Master De-gree prior to 19.09.1991.
The candidate must have a Permanent Residential Certifi-cate (PRC) and must know local language.
