For admission into diploma in engineering & technology courses in the government polytechnics OF Assam (under State Council for Technical Education, Assam)

ADMISSION TEST:
  1. Admission test will be held in all the Polytechnics of Assam on the subject of Science and Mathematics.
  2. There will be one question paper of Science and Mathematics of 100 marks of 2 hours duration. The question paper will be of H.S.L.C. level (class X) standard.
  3. The questions will be of objective type having multiple choices.
  4. Candidates are to bring black ball pen for marking the OMR sheet.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:
🌟For Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology, a candidate must fulfill the following
Conditions:-
  • Must qualify in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT-2021) for admission into Diploma Courses' offered by SCTE, Assam as notified by the DTE, Assam.
  • The candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with -
* 40% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for General candidates
* 35% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
* 33% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates.
  • If there is tie in PAT marks, then marks of Science and Mathematics of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to decide the merit of the candidates; if there is a tie again, then the aggregate marks of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to decide the merit of the candidate. If again, there is a tie, then the merit of the candidate will be decided by lottery by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee. The decision of the Selection Committees shall be final.
🌟 For Diploma course in Modern Office Management, a candidate must fulfill the following
conditions:-
  • Must qualify in the Modern Office Management Admission Test (MOM-2021) for admission into the Diploma Courses offered by SCTE, Assam, as notified by the DTE, Assam.
  • The candidate must pass the H.S.S.L.C.(12+) or its equivalent examination in Humanities/ Science or Commerce.
  • If there is a tie in MOM marks, then marks of English of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to decide the merit of the candidates; if there is a tie again, then the aggregate marks of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to decide the merit of the candidate. If again, there is a tie, then the merit of the candidate will be decided by lottery by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee. The decision of the Selection Committees will be final.
🌟 AGE:



🌟 PHYSICAL FITNESS:
A candidate must be physically and mentally fit. A candidate will have to produce a fitness certificate at the time of admission from a registered medical practitioner.

🌟 RESIDENTIAL ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates must be Indian Citizen and Permanent resident of Assam. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) must be produced at the time of Counseling. Submit the form (Annexure-V) if you cannot produce a PRC at the time of Counselling.

🌟ELIGIBILITY FOR SPORTS QUOTA:

  • The candidate must be a medal winner of State Games/ State Championships/ Tournaments organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam and will be decided in order of Medals of Gold/Silver/Bronze received.
  • The medals received by the candidates must be within the period of the last 3 years.
  • If there is a tie, prizes are equal [Gold/Silver/Bronze] obtained by any candidate then merit will be decided by considering the marks obtained at the PAT-2021. Even if there is a tie then Science & Mathematics Marks obtained at the qualifying examination will be considered to decide the merit of a candidate. Again if there is a tie, then through a lottery conducted by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee.

🌟 ELIGIBILITY FOR NCC QUOTA:

-- Selection of candidates for NCC category would be considered in order of merit as per NCC Examination Certificate received from the Commanding Officer, National Cadets Corps or higher level to be treated as given below-
1. “C” certificate with Grading "A"
    "C" certificate with Grading “B”
2. “B" certificate with Grading "A"
    "B" certificate with Grading “B"
3. "A" certificate with Grading “A"
    "A" certificate with Grading "B"
4. Candidates are asked to submit the documents of the attendance if any.

-- If the number of candidates applying against N.C.C. quota and their certificates are of equal
grade, then the merit will be decided by considering the marks obtained at the PAT-2021. Even if here is a tie then Science & Mathematics Marks obtained at the qualifying examination will be considered to decide the merit of a candidate. Again if there is a tie, then through a lottery conducted by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee.


Registration Process

Step 1 - Click on "Click here to Apply". After clicking, the Application Form will appear

Step 2 – Fill up the Application form properly. It is mandatory to fill all the fields.

Step 3 – Upload your photograph & scanned signature and save the Application form by clicking the "Submit" button.

Step 4 – Once the Application form is saved, a unique application number will be generated for you which will be active throughout your admission process. Read the instructions carefully and click on "Next" to continue, the next step of the application process shall take you to the Payment Portal of State Bank Collect. Select Payment Category "PAT - 2021" and in the next step you will be asked to enter your:
   (i) Application number
   (ii) Name of Applicant
   (iii) Date of Birth
   (iv) Centre of Examination
   (v) Category
   (vi) Contact number
   (vii) Whether Differently-abled
   (viii) Belongs to Tea Garden/Ex.TGL Community
   (ix) Belongs to Moran Community
  (x) Belongs to Tai Ahom Community
 (xi) Belongs to Koch Rajbhongsi Community
   (xii) Belongs to Chutia Community

Step 5 – Payment Process: There are two modes of payment: ONLINE and OFFLINE
  1. Online Payments can be made by Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Cards.
  2. Offline payments can be made at any branch of State Bank of India by printing the generated Bank Challan and depositing the fee amount at any nearby SBI Branch..

Note: Retain Printouts of the receipt generated by State Bank Collect, for future reference. The "State Bank Collect" step is the last step of the application and is required to be completed for a successful application process.
