    Eligibility Criteria
    • Nationality / Citizenship:
      • A candidate must be a citizen of India, or
      • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
      • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 01 January 1962 with intention of permanent settlement, or
      • A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) with intention of permanent settlement in India.
      • Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens must have a certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.
    • Educational Qualification:
      • Candidates must possess essential educational qualification as per post requirement.
      • Posts are classified under three levels:
        • Matriculation (10th pass)
        • Higher Secondary (10+2 pass)
        • Graduation level
      • Qualification must be obtained on or before the closing date of application.
    • Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026):
      • Minimum Age: 18 years
      • Maximum Age: Varies post-wise (generally 25, 27, 28, 30, 35 years)

    • Reservation & Certificates:
      • Candidates must possess valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD certificates.
      • OBC candidates must not fall under creamy layer.
      • EWS certificate must be valid for financial year 2025-26.
    • Important Instructions:
      • All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled on or before closing date (04.05.2026).
      • Date of Birth as per Matriculation certificate will be accepted.
      • No change in eligibility details will be allowed after submission.
      • Candidature is purely provisional until final document verification.
    Salary

    Candidates selected through SSC Selection Post Phase XIV Recruitment 2026 will receive salary as per the 7th Pay Commission. The pay level varies depending on the post and department. Along with basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances and benefits as per Central Government rules.

    Selection Process
    • Computer Based Examination (CBE):
      • Selection will be made through a Computer Based Examination (Objective Type).
      • Separate examinations will be conducted for different educational levels:
        • Matriculation Level
        • Higher Secondary (10+2) Level
        • Graduation Level
      • Questions will be of Multiple Choice Type.
      • The exam will consist of four sections:
        • General Intelligence
        • General Awareness
        • Quantitative Aptitude
        • English Language
      • There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

    • Document Upload (After CBE):
      • Candidates who qualify in the CBE will be required to upload all relevant documents.

    • Scrutiny of Documents:
      • Uploaded documents will be verified by the respective User Departments.
      • Verification includes eligibility, qualification, age, and reservation claims.
    • Final Selection:
      • Final merit will be prepared based on performance in the Computer Based Examination.
      • Selection is subject to successful document verification.
      • No interview will be conducted for these posts.
    • Important Notes:
      • SSC does not verify documents before the examination.
      • Candidature remains provisional at all stages until final verification.
