How to download an admit card safely
An admit card (also called a hall ticket or call letter) identifies the candidate and provides examination instructions. The exact download procedure depends on the recruiting authority, examination and stage of selection. Use the steps below as a checklist alongside the instructions on the official notice.
1. Before downloading
- Identify the correct examination: Match the recruiting authority, post or course, exam stage and notification year.
- Read the release notice: Some authorities announce a download window, a city-intimation slip or a separate call letter for another test stage.
- Open the official website: Prefer a link from the authority’s announcement. Confirm the domain before providing your details.
- Keep your own credentials ready: The official portal may request registration number, date of birth or another login method. Never send an OTP or password to anyone.
2. Check every detail on your hall ticket
After downloading, check your name, photograph, registration or roll number, examination name, date, shift, reporting time, venue and test instructions. Confirm the document belongs to the correct stage of the recruitment process.
If a detail is missing or incorrect, follow the correction process or helpdesk instructions given by the issuing authority. Do not edit an official PDF yourself.
Save a copy and print it only in the format required by the official instructions; some exams have specific photo, signature or print-quality rules.
3. Prepare for examination day
Review reporting and gate-closing times, permitted photo identity documents, photograph requirements, dress code and prohibited items. An exam city notice is not always the final venue or admit card; check the correct document.
Plan travel to the named venue rather than relying on an older exam centre. Keep the official contact details available in case instructions are revised.
Arrive according to the exam authority’s schedule, not simply the time printed beside an article.
4. If the admit card is unavailable
Check that the download window has started and you selected the correct examination and phase. Recheck the details entered on the official portal, and try again later if the site is temporarily busy.
If you forgot your login information, use the portal’s own recovery method. For eligibility, rejected applications or absent records, contact the official support channel published for that examination.
Do not pay an unofficial website or agent to “unlock” an admit card.
Official websites to verify examination notices
There is no single admit card website for every examination in Assam. Begin with the organisation conducting your exam, look for its current notice or candidate login, and check whether an updated schedule has replaced an older one. The following sites are starting points, not guarantees that an admit card is currently available.
State government and police recruitment
- Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) — recruitment and examination announcements issued by APSC.
- State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam (SLPRB) — police recruitment updates and stage-specific notices where applicable.
For a health-department or other department-specific examination, follow the website and contact details identified in that recruitment’s original advertisement.
Central exams, school and university tests
- Staff Selection Commission (SSC) — SSC exam notices and candidate information.
- Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) — Assam school examination information.
University and entrance-test hall tickets may appear on an institution-specific portal. Verify the website given in that examination’s latest official notification.
Privacy reminder: This page lists articles. It does not ask for registration numbers, passwords, birth dates, OTPs or payment details. Enter sensitive information only on the legitimate examination authority’s portal.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download an admit card directly from this page?
This is a directory of published admit card articles. Open the relevant article to find the notice and any official download instructions. The actual hall ticket should be obtained from the issuing authority’s website.
Does a date on an article mean the admit card has been released?
No. Article publication dates and any separately listed application, exam or admit card dates have different meanings. An announced future release date does not confirm the link is live. Check the official portal for the current status.
What is the difference between a hall ticket and a city-intimation slip?
A city-intimation slip may only tell a candidate the examination city. It may not replace an admit card containing final venue or reporting instructions. Follow the specific authority’s directions.
What should I do if my name, exam centre or photograph is incorrect?
Contact the examination authority or the helpdesk listed in the relevant official notice, as soon as its correction procedure permits. Do not alter the hall ticket yourself.
Is Assam Education Hub a government admit card portal?
No. Assam Education Hub is an independent information website and is not affiliated with the exam-conducting bodies. Official portals and documents are the final authority.
