Educational Qualification:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Minimum 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Minimum 3-year Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Candidates must have secured minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) in Diploma or Degree.
- Relevant work experience of at least 2 years is desirable (especially for Diploma holders).

Nationality:
- A candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries with intention of permanently settling in India.
Other Conditions:
- Candidates must possess required educational qualifications on or before the closing date.
- Candidates should be medically fit as per RBI standards.

Basic Pay Structure:
₹33,900 – 1,500(3) – 38,400 – 1,850(4) – 45,800 – 2,850(7) – 65,750
The initial basic pay for RBI Junior Engineer is ₹33,900/- per month. Candidates will receive annual increments as per the pay scale mentioned above.
Gross Salary (Approx):
The gross monthly salary will be approximately ₹70,000 to ₹80,000 depending on the place of posting and applicable allowances.

1. Online Examination:
The online test will be conducted in objective mode and will consist of multiple sections including English Language, Engineering Discipline, and Reasoning Ability.

Marking Scheme:
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark (Engineering section higher weightage)

Sectional Cut-Off:
- Candidates must qualify in each section separately
- Overall cut-off must also be cleared
2. Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
- Conducted for candidates shortlisted from the online exam
- Candidates must be proficient in the local/regional language of the applied office
- Reading, writing, and speaking ability will be tested
- LPT is qualifying in nature
3. Document Verification:
- Verification of original documents such as educational certificates, ID proof, caste certificate, etc.
- Failure to produce valid documents will lead to disqualification
Final Selection:
- Based on marks obtained in the Online Examination
- LPT must be qualified
- Final merit list will be prepared category-wise
