    • NIOS / Open School students are now eligible for B.Pharm.

    ๐ŸŽ“ Eligibility Criteria

    The eligibility criteria for SSUHS CEE 2026 vary slightly depending on the course. Candidates must carefully review the course-wise requirements before applying. The following details are based on the official notification issued by SSUHS. 

    1. For B.Sc Nursing

    • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
    • Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory for admission in Government institutes of Assam.
    • Male candidates are not eligible for admission in Government Nursing Institutes of Assam.
    • Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
    • Maximum age: 35 years.
    • Must have passed 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
    • Minimum marks required:
      • General Category: 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
      • SC/ST/OBC: 40% aggregate.
    • Candidate must have passed in English as a subject.
    • Candidates from State Open School / NIOS with Science subjects are also eligible.
    • Must pass both Theory and Practical separately in PCB subjects.
    • Candidate should be medically fit.
    • Married candidates are also eligible.
    • Colour blind candidates are eligible if using corrective lenses.

    2. For Pharmacy Courses (D.Pharm / B.Pharm)

    • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
    • PRC is mandatory for admission in Government institutes of Assam.
    • Must have passed 10+2 (Science) with:
      • English, Physics, Chemistry
      • Biology and/or Mathematics
    • Must pass both Theory and Practical separately in relevant subjects.
    • No grace marks allowed in qualifying examination.
    • Candidates from non-formal/open schooling systems are not eligible for B.Pharm.
    • Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December of admission year.
    • Candidate must be medically fit.

    3. For Allied & Healthcare Courses (B.Sc Medical Technology, etc.)

    • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
    • Must be a Permanent Resident of Assam for Government institute admission.
    • Minimum qualification:
      • 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
    • Minimum marks required:
      • General Category: 45% aggregate in PCB
      • OBC/MOBC (NCL)/SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 40% aggregate
    • No grace marks allowed in qualifying examination.
    • Must pass both Theory and Practical separately.
    • Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December of admission year.
    • Candidate must be medically fit.

    4. Reservation Criteria

    • Reservation of seats will be provided as per Assam Government norms.
    • Applicable categories include:

    ๐Ÿงช Selection Process

    The selection process for SSUHS CEE 2026 is strictly based on entrance examination performance followed by merit-based counselling. The entire admission procedure is conducted as per the official notification issued by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS). 

    Stage 1: Common Entrance Examination (CEE 2026)

    • The entrance exam will be conducted on 07 June 2026 (10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon).
    • There will be one question paper consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
    • The question paper will include:
      • English – 25 marks
      • Physics – 25 marks
      • Chemistry – 25 marks
      • Biology / Mathematics – 25 marks
    • Questions will be based on HS (10+2) Science standard syllabus
    • For Nursing & Allied courses: English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology are compulsory.
    • For Pharmacy courses: English, Physics, Chemistry + Biology or Mathematics (as chosen).
    • No change of subject selection is allowed after submission of application form.

    Stage 2: Merit List Preparation

    • The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the entrance examination
    • Separate merit lists may be prepared for different courses.
    • Minimum qualifying cutoff marks will be declared at the time of result publication.

    Stage 3: Tie-Breaking Criteria

    • If two or more candidates secure equal marks, inter-se merit will be determined in the following order: 
      • Higher marks in Biology (or Mathematics for Pharmacy)
      • Higher marks in Chemistry
      • Higher marks in Physics
      • Higher marks in English
      • If still tied, HS (10+2) marks will be considered

    Stage 4: Counselling & Seat Allotment

    • Qualified candidates will be called for merit-cum-preference counselling.
    • Seat allotment will be done based on:
      • Rank in merit list
      • Category reservation (SC/ST/OBC/PwD etc.)
      • Availability of seats in colleges
      • Candidate’s course and college preference
    • Reservation of seats will be applicable as per Assam Government rules. 

    Stage 5: Document Verification

    • Candidates must produce original documents at the time of counselling.

      • Admit Card & Rank Card
      • 10th & 12th Mark Sheets & Certificates
