Bank of Baroda Apprentice Recruitment 2026 (5000 posts)

Bank of Baroda (BOB) has released an official notification for engagement of 5000 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible Indian citizens who possess a Graduation Degree and are registered on NAPS and/or NATS portals can apply online for the apprenticeship programme. The apprenticeship training will be for a period of 12 months and selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend.

💼 Job Profile

This apprenticeship engagement is neither regular employment nor contractual employment in Bank of Baroda. Selected candidates will be treated only as trainees under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and shall not be considered employees of the Bank.

Apprentices shall not be entitled to employee benefits available to regular or contractual staff and shall have no claim for permanent employment after completion of apprenticeship training.

🎓 Eligibility

• Candidate must possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
• Candidate must be registered on NAPS and/or NATS Apprenticeship Portals before applying.
• For candidates registered under NATS, the graduation result should not be older than four years from the cut-off date (01.05.2026).
• Candidate should not have undergone apprenticeship training previously in Bank of Baroda or any other establishment.
• Candidate should not currently be pursuing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
• Candidates having one year or more training/job experience after obtaining graduation qualification are not eligible.
• Candidate must satisfy all eligibility conditions as on 01 May 2026.
• All educational qualifications should be obtained from recognized institutions approved by Government authorities.

🗣 Local Language Requirement

Candidates applying for apprenticeship seats of a particular State/UT must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding at least one specified local language of that State/UT.

For Assam, acceptable local languages are:

• Assamese
• Bengali
• Bodo

Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce supporting certificates/mark sheets shall be exempted from the Local Language Proficiency Test.

🏥 Medical Fitness

Engagement of selected apprentices shall be subject to being declared medically fit according to the standards prescribed by Bank of Baroda.

Candidates may be required to submit medical fitness certificates and other supporting documents before commencement of apprenticeship training.

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship training period of 12 months. The stipend amount will depend upon the category of branch where the apprentice is engaged.

Apprentices shall not be eligible for any additional allowances, benefits, bonus, pension, gratuity or other employee benefits available to regular Bank employees.

Duration of the online examination will be 60 minutes. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

📋 Wait List

Bank of Baroda may prepare State-wise and Category-wise wait lists for filling vacancies arising due to non-reporting, resignation or cancellation of selected candidates.

The wait list shall remain valid for one year from the declaration of results or till commencement of the next apprenticeship engagement process, whichever is earlier.

📑 Apprenticeship Contract

Selected candidates shall receive digital apprenticeship contracts through the NAPS/NATS portals. Candidates must accept the contract within the prescribed time period.

The apprenticeship engagement shall commence only after approval of the apprenticeship contract by the competent authorities under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

🎓 Assessment & Certification

Upon completion of apprenticeship training, apprentices may undergo assessment as prescribed under the Apprentices Act and related guidelines.

Successful apprentices shall be eligible for issuance of Apprenticeship Certificates in accordance with applicable Government norms.
