🎓 Eligibility

• Candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Minimum educational qualification is Class X (HSLC) passed from a recognized Board.
• Candidates must possess a valid LMV Driving License issued by competent authority.
• The LMV Driving License must be issued at least 3 years before the publication of advertisement.
• Candidate age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Valid Employment Registration Certificate issued by Government of Assam is mandatory.
• Preference will be given to experienced candidates.

💰 Salary

Selected candidates for the post of Driver under District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Cachar will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 15,000/- per month.

🧪 Selection Process

• Stage 1: Driving Test – 30 Marks
• The Driving Test will include Starting, Driving, Parking and After Driving segments.
• Each segment carries 10 marks making a total of 30 marks.
• Candidates must secure a minimum of 15 marks out of 30 to qualify in the Driving Test.
• Stage 2: Viva-Voce – 30 Marks
• Final selection will be based on the total marks obtained in Driving Test and Viva-Voce.
• If two candidates secure equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate scoring higher in Driving Test.
• If Driving Test marks are also equal, senior candidate in age will get preference.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in any stage of the selection process.
• The admission of candidates at all stages shall remain purely provisional.

Interested candidates need to submit their application in Standard Form along with all required documents in a sealed envelope addressed to “The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Cachar”, Court Road, Sadarghat, Silchar, Cachar, Assam – 788001.
