🎓 Eligibility

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam.
• Family annual income should not exceed ₹5,00,000.
• For Class VI admission, candidates must have passed Class V from a Government/Provincialised/Government-Aided/Government Recognized School, CBSE Affiliated School or Level-B of NIOS OBE Programme.
• For Class VIII admission, candidates must have passed Class VII from a Government/Provincialised/Government-Aided/Government Recognized School, CBSE Affiliated School or Level-B of NIOS OBE Programme.
• Students studying at home without attending school are also eligible for Class VI admission as per provisions of the RTE Act, 2009, subject to submission of self-declaration by parents/guardians.

• Admission will be granted strictly on merit through Entrance Examination (EMRSST-2026-27).
• Separate entrance examinations will be conducted for Class VI and Class VIII.
• Final selection will be prepared as per merit and applicable reservation policy.
• Candidates from Kamrup district who appeared in EMRSST-2026-27 held on 22 February 2026 must appear again if they wish to seek admission in EMRS Boko.
