Bank of Baroda (BOB) has released an official notification for engagement of 5000 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible Indian citizens who have completed Graduation in any discipline can apply online through the NATS/NAPS apprenticeship portals. The apprenticeship training will be for a period of 12 months and selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. 🎓 Eligibility

  • Candidates must be Indian Citizens.
  • Candidates must be registered on NATS and/or NAPS Apprenticeship Portal.
  • Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • For candidates registered under NATS, the Graduation passing date should not be more than 4 years before the cut-off date (01 May 2026).
  • The candidate should not have undergone Apprenticeship training earlier in Bank of Baroda or any other organization.
  • The candidate should not be currently pursuing Apprenticeship Training under any establishment.
  • Candidates having one year or more job/training experience after Graduation are not eligible.
  • Candidates terminated from Apprenticeship earlier due to their own fault are not eligible.

Selection of Apprentices in Bank of Baroda will be carried out through a multi-stage process. Candidates must qualify in each stage to be considered for final engagement.

  • Apprenticeship duration shall be one year.
  • Apprentices will be treated as trainees and not employees of the Bank.

  • Apprentices will not receive employee benefits available to regular staff.
  • No reservation is available for Ex-Servicemen in Apprentice engagement.

Candidates found using unfair means during any stage of recruitment may face strict action.

Such candidates may be disqualified, debarred from future recruitment processes or have their apprenticeship terminated.

📋 Wait List

Bank of Baroda will prepare a State-wise and Category-wise Wait List of successful candidates.

  • The wait list will be used to fill vacancies arising due to non-acceptance of apprenticeship offers.
  • The wait list will also be used if selected candidates fail to report for apprenticeship training.
  • The wait list shall remain valid for one year from the date of declaration of results.
  • The wait list may also remain valid until commencement of the next apprentice engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.

đŸ’ŧ Job Profile

Candidates engaged under this recruitment drive will be appointed only as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

  • Apprentices will undergo practical training in various banking operations.
  • The engagement is purely for training purposes.
  • Apprentices are not regular employees of Bank of Baroda.
  • Apprentices are not contractual employees of the Bank.
  • Apprentices shall not be entitled to employee benefits available to regular staff.
  • Successful completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee future employment in the Bank.

📜 Contract of Apprenticeship

Candidates selected for apprenticeship training will receive a digital Apprenticeship Contract through Government Apprenticeship Portals.

  • Contracts will be issued through NATS and/or NAPS portals.
  • Candidates must accept the digital apprenticeship contract within the prescribed time.
  • Apprenticeship training will begin only after approval of the contract by the competent authority.
  • Failure to accept the contract within the specified period may result in cancellation of candidature.

🎓 Assessment & Certification

At the completion of apprenticeship training, candidates will undergo assessment as per apprenticeship guidelines.

  • Apprentices must participate in the final assessment process.
  • Assessment will be conducted as per applicable apprenticeship rules.
  • Performance will be evaluated based on the prescribed criteria.
  • Successful apprentices will be awarded Apprenticeship Certificates.

đŸĸ Facilities During Apprenticeship

Candidates should note the following important provisions regarding facilities during apprenticeship:

  • No hostel facility will be provided by Bank of Baroda.
  • No residential accommodation will be provided.
  • No transport facility will be provided.
  • No travelling allowance will be paid for examinations or document verification.
