Central Bank Apprentice 4500 Posts Recruitment 2026

Central Bank of India has released an official notification for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026-27. A total of 4500 training seats have been announced across various states and union territories of India. Eligible graduates can apply online through the NATS portal and complete the registration process through BFSI SSC.

The apprenticeship period will be for 12 months. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.15,000. Candidates must carefully read all eligibility conditions, selection procedures, fee details and instructions before applying.

🎓 Eligibility

Candidate must be registered on NATS Portal.
Candidate must be a Citizen of India OR eligible nationality as mentioned in the official notification.
Candidate must possess Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government.
Graduation must have been completed on or after 01-01-2022.
Candidates must produce Graduation Marksheets and Degree/Provisional Certificate whenever required by the Bank.
Candidate should not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier in any organization.
Candidate should not be currently pursuing apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act.
Candidates having one year or more training/job experience after attaining educational qualification are not eligible.
No Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen shall be engaged as apprentice.

The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs.15,000 per month during the engagement period of one year. Apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances, benefits or facilities available to regular employees of the Bank.

🌐 Test of Local Language

Candidates applying for apprenticeship seats of a particular State must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding any one of the specified local/official languages of that State.
The list of official languages for all States and Union Territories is provided in Annexure-II of the notification.
The Local Language Test will be conducted after qualifying the Online Examination.
Candidates failing the Local Language Test may not be engaged as apprentices.
Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet showing the specified local language as a subject will not be required to appear in the language test.
The language test shall be conducted at a centre decided by the Bank within the State applied for.
All expenses for appearing in the language test shall be borne by the candidates.
The Bank will not reimburse any travelling or related expenses.

Meeting the cut-off marks in the Online Examination as decided by the Bank.
Successful qualification in the Local Language Test.
Satisfactory verification of educational qualification, date of birth, category and other documents.
Being declared medically fit as per Bank requirements.

📜 Contract of Apprenticeship

Candidates selected for apprenticeship shall receive digital apprenticeship contracts through the Government apprenticeship portal.

Digital apprenticeship contracts will be issued through NATS Portal.
Candidates will receive contract acceptance links from BFSI SSC.
Candidates must accept the apprenticeship contract within the stipulated time.
No candidate shall undergo apprenticeship training without entering into a valid Contract of Apprenticeship.
The contract must be approved by the respective authorities of the apprenticeship portal.

🏦 Training Conditions, Leave & Holidays

Apprentices shall be entitled to holidays observed by the Bank.
One Casual Leave per month will be admissible during apprenticeship.
No other category of leave is applicable.
Daily working hours shall be the same as applicable to clerical staff of the Bank.
No apprentice shall be required or allowed to work overtime.
Government of India guidelines shall be followed regarding leave, working conditions and holidays.

🎓 Assessment & Certification

After completion of apprenticeship training, apprentices may be required to undergo an assessment test.
Certification shall be awarded as per prevailing apprenticeship guidelines.

❌ Termination of Apprenticeship Contract

The apprenticeship contract shall be terminated if the apprentice fails to report on the commencement date of training.
The contract shall automatically terminate after completion of the apprenticeship period.
The Bank or Apprentice may apply for termination before completion by informing the Apprenticeship Advisor with reasons.
A copy of the termination request must be sent to the other party.
The Apprenticeship Advisor (BFSI SSC) may terminate the contract if either party violates the terms and conditions.
If the Bank violates contract conditions, compensation may be awarded to the apprentice.
If the apprentice violates contract conditions, the apprentice may be directed to refund training costs as determined by the Apprenticeship Advisor.
The Bank may terminate the apprenticeship contract for misconduct after issuing notice stating the reason.

⚖️ Conduct & Discipline

As per Section 17 of the Apprentices Act, 1961, all matters relating to conduct and discipline shall be governed by the Rules and Procedure for Disciplinary Action against Workmen of Central Bank of India.

📢 Other Terms & Conditions

The candidate should not have undergone apprenticeship training in Central Bank of India or any other organization earlier.
The candidate should not be pursuing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Candidates with one year or more training/job experience after acquiring educational qualification are not eligible.
No Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen shall be engaged as apprentices.
No reservation is available for Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen.
Apprentices shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of apprenticeship.
The Bank has no obligation to provide regular employment during or after apprenticeship.
After completion of apprenticeship period, apprentices shall be relieved from their assigned work area.
No transport facility shall be provided.
No hostel facility shall be provided.
No residential accommodation shall be provided.
Every apprentice shall be treated as a trainee and not as an employee or worker of the Bank.
Labour laws applicable to employees shall not apply to apprentices.
Apprentices are not entitled to employee benefits available to regular staff.
The Bank may cancel apprenticeship engagement at any stage due to misconduct.
Apprentices are prohibited from joining or forming any union body.
All disputes arising out of this engagement process shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Mumbai only.
The application process shall be treated as complete only after successful payment of fee.
Bank decisions regarding eligibility, selection, cancellation or rejection shall be final and binding.
Incomplete applications shall be rejected.
Candidates must satisfy themselves regarding eligibility before applying.
Only one application should be submitted by a candidate.
If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid application will be considered.
Fees paid for earlier applications shall stand forfeited.
Multiple attendance in examination may lead to cancellation of candidature.
Candidates are advised to retain printouts of submitted applications.
Selected candidates will be engaged only after satisfactory medical fitness verification.
Candidates must appear for all stages of selection at their own expense.

📝 How to Apply

Candidates can apply ONLINE only. No other mode of application shall be accepted.
Eligible candidates must first register themselves on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal.
Visit the NATS Portal and complete Student Registration/Login.
After successful registration, candidates should apply for the Apprenticeship Opportunity of “Central Bank of India” available on the NATS Portal.
Candidates must note their NATS Enrolment ID carefully for future correspondence.
After applying through NATS, candidates will receive an email from BFSI SSC inviting them to complete the final application process.
Candidates must register on the BFSI SSC portal and provide required information including category details and district preferences.
Candidates must pay the applicable Application cum Examination cum Intimation Fees through online mode.
Candidates should upload photograph, signature and required documents as prescribed.
Before final submission, candidates should carefully verify all information entered in the application form.
No modification shall be allowed after clicking the SUBMIT button.

📢 Important Instructions

Change of category after submission of application shall not be permitted.
OBC candidates belonging to Creamy Layer are not eligible for OBC reservation benefits.
EWS reservation benefits are available only on production of Income & Asset Certificate.
Reservation for PwBD candidates is horizontal in nature.
Selected candidates must satisfy medical fitness requirements.
The number of apprenticeship seats is provisional and may increase or decrease.
Candidates seeking age relaxation must submit supporting certificates.
Bank reserves the right to modify examination structure and selection process.
No correspondence regarding selection matters shall be entertained.

🚫 Action Against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct

Candidates must not furnish false, fabricated or misleading information.
Use of unfair means during examination will lead to disciplinary action.
Impersonation or procuring impersonation is prohibited.
Misbehaviour during examination is prohibited.
Publishing, reproducing, transmitting or storing examination contents is prohibited.
Obtaining support for candidature through improper means is prohibited.
Such candidates may face criminal prosecution.
Candidature may be cancelled immediately.
Candidate may be permanently or temporarily debarred from future examinations conducted by the Bank.
Apprenticeship training may be terminated if misconduct is detected after joining.
The test conducting agency may analyse response patterns to detect unfair practices.
If responses are found to be shared or manipulated, candidature may be cancelled and result withheld.

💻 Online Test & Communication Process

All updates regarding Online Examination will be available under the “My Applied Opportunities” section on the BFSI SSC portal.
The Online Examination is to be taken from the candidate’s own residence using his/her own device.
No Admit Card shall be issued.
No hard copy communication shall be sent by post.
Email, SMS and WhatsApp reminders may be sent by BFSI SSC.
Qualified candidates will receive email communication for Document Verification and Language Test.
Final merit list and selected candidate list will be published on Bank and BFSI SSC websites.
Candidates should regularly check their registered email accounts and official websites.
No request for change of examination date, time or language test centre shall be entertained.
