    The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an official notification for the Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) / Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), 2025. The examination will be conducted for eligible departmental candidates belonging to various participating Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India.

    Through this recruitment examination, eligible Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSA), Lower Division Clerks (LDC), Junior Passport Assistants, Hindi Typists, and other eligible feeder cadre employees will be considered for inclusion in the Select List of Senior Secretariat Assistant / Upper Division Clerk Grade under participating services.

    The online application process will commence from 05 June 2026 and continue until 26 June 2026. The Computer Based Examination is tentatively scheduled during July-August 2026 in Delhi NCR only.     🧪 Selection Process

    • Part-I consists of Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) and Descriptive Written Examination (Paper-II).
    • Paper-I contains 200 objective-type marks.
    • Paper-II carries 100 descriptive marks.
    • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
    • Candidates qualifying Paper-I will be considered for evaluation of Paper-II.
    • Candidates qualifying Part-I will be shortlisted for APAR/Service Record Evaluation.
    • Part-II consists of Evaluation of Record of Service (APARs) carrying 100 marks.
    • Final merit will be prepared on the basis of:

    • Scribe facility available for eligible PwBD candidates.
    • Blindness and Cerebral Palsy candidates may avail scribe facility.
    • PwD candidates with writing difficulty may avail scribe facility on submission of prescribed certificate.
    • Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour will be provided.
    • Required disability certificates must be uploaded during application submission.
    • Original certificates must be produced during examination.
