🎓 Eligibility
- MBBS/BVSc/BDS from a NMC/DCI/VCI recognized college.
- Minimum 5 years of research and diagnostic experience in any ICMR/DHR/CSIR laboratory of Government institute engaged in molecular virology laboratory.
- Candidates having experience of managing outbreaks and epidemics will be considered for shortlisting.
Desirable Qualifications:
- MD in Microbiology from an NMC recognized Medical College.
- Minimum five years post-MD research and diagnostic experience in any ICMR/DHR/CSIR laboratory engaged in molecular virology.
- Hands-on experience in Real-time RT-PCR, multiplex molecular diagnostics, NGS (Illumina/Oxford Nanopore).
- Experience in in-silico data analysis using bioinformatics tools.
- Experience in Virus isolation, mammalian cell culture, cryopreservation and cell-based assays.
- Experience in serological assays including ELISA, CLIA and IFA.
- Experience in ISO 15189/NABL Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in External Quality Assurance (EQAS).
- Experience in Biosafety and Biosecurity practices in BSL-2/BSL-3 laboratories.
- Evidence of independently handling ICMR/DHR/DBT funded research projects.
- At least three original research publications indexed in PUBMED/Web of Science/Scopus as first or corresponding author in virology, molecular epidemiology or emerging infectious diseases.
- Experience in outbreak investigation, genomic surveillance and interpretation of sequencing data.
- Working knowledge of statistical software and bioinformatics tools.
- Training in biosafety and quality assurance.
- Experience in mentoring postgraduate students in thesis related activities.
